THE OTMOOR

Fencott and Murcott Parish is unique as it does not just include our two small villages, it also includes three thousand acres of the Otmoor. We have Alice's Meadow which historically changed the route of the M40, as well as multiple rights of way and beautiful countryside. Murcott village boasts the Nut Tree Inn, and has a lovely village hall with a car park and playground.

WHO WE ARE

Fencott and Murcott Parish Council is here to serve the local community. It is effectively the tier of local government closest to people. It has legal powers and responsibility to take action on certain issues affecting our neighbourhood.

Parish Councillors are residents elected or co-opted into the role. They are our friends and neighbours in our small community. There is a vacancy at the moment, the role can be very rewarding and interesting please do consider it.
